Here’s another warning to be careful what you post online.
A public school district in San Antonio, Texas, is investigating an elementary school teacher, for what one parent calls, “inappropriate” and “disturbing” social media posts.
A parent whose son is about to attend Columbia Heights Elementary school found the teacher’s Pinterest account and saw several posts that caused concern.
The parent sent the posts to KENS 5, a CBS-affiliated station in San Antonio, in an effort to get the school district to take disciplinary action against this teacher. The teacher had pinned a couple of e-cards from someecards.com, a popular site that parodies traditional Hallmark greeting cards with sarcastic humor.
One of the e-cards that has been shared over 8,000 times says, “Do you want to hear a secret? You’re the reason your teachers are alcoholics.”
Another said, “If teachers were honest with report card comments: Jimmy continues to be a s—t. I would like him to stop being a s—t. Please work out your s—t so he is not a s—t.”
The school district declined to comment, though they are in contact with the parent and a spokeswoman said administrators are looking into these posts.
