Liberals love countering Donald Trump’s immigration policy by insisting that walls don’t work. Well, don’t tell that to social justice warriors at the University of Berkeley, who joined last week to block white students from entering campus in the name of tolerance and equality.
A YouTube video posted on Saturday showed dozens of campus protestors blocking an entranceway to a campus bridge, preventing white students from crossing it and getting to class.
The protest’s goal was to provide gay, trans, and students of color a safe space from whites, which according to Berkeley’s website make up only 24 percent of the school’s population.
White students desperate to get to class were forced to jump over the stream nearby, many can be seen on video doing so because the social justice warriors were aggressive in preventing them from coming on school property.
“This is bigger than you,” a protestor screamed at a student. “This is about whiteness.”
According to Reason, protestors moved to the school bookstore and issued an eviction notice to their owners and claimed the space for gay and transgendered students.
“You are hereby notified by the students of the University of California, Berkeley, to vacate the premises immediately,” protestors wrote in the eviction notice. “University administration wrongly allocated this two-story facility to a third-party corporation, keeping in line with its intensifying legacy of prioritizing financial profit over student needs.”
Protestors are no longer just demanding action against white professors and administrators but are taking action against their fellow students. There’s no telling where it will end if campus officials don’t stamp out social justice mythology.
