Adrian Grenier is most known for his starring role in Entourage. But, he’s also now known across the Internet for his poorly timed 9/11 post.
The actor made a post on Instagram that day, which he linked to his Twitter account.

The post was eventually deleted, but Weasel Zippers took a screenshot.
Many on Twitter had strong words for Grenier. One such criticism was over his decision to call attention to Iraqis on the anniversary of the attacks.
@adriangrenier today was not the day to post this. Classless. You have no idea how families feel everyday on this day and everyday period.

@adriangrenier Wow, I can only imagine how the 9/11 victims families feel. Today was not the day. Today is their day. Have some class.

And, it is worth noting that the term ‘innocent’ is used to describe Iraqis, but not Americans. This is not to say that Grenier believes the nearly 3,000 murdered Americans to be anything but innocent. It is still an odd part of the post, however.
Grenier’s Instagram included other posts relating to 9/11, many of which he also linked to over Twitter. Many saw it as further opportunities to condemn the actor.
Other than deleting the post, it does not appear that Grenier has otherwise addressed it.
Who knows what Grenier was thinking. Maybe he meant animosity, maybe he went well, maybe he just wanted to get people to think. It still was not the best time or way to come together and remember this tragic day in American history.
