Steve Stockman distributes ‘Obama impeachment book’ to each member of Congress

One of the Obama administration’s most vocal and persistent opponents in Congress is sharing some biting literature with colleagues in an effort to build his case against the White House.

Per a release from his office, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) has sent copies of “Impeachable Offenses: The Case for Removing Barack Obama from Office” to each sitting member of Congress. The point, Stockman said, is to persuade congresspersons of the president’s egregious offenses during his tenure.

“I hope this book helps convince my colleagues to hold Barack Obama legally responsible for his disregard for the law,” Stockman said. “When told of his offense(s), Obama sought to cover them up rather than accept responsibility and correct the mistakes.”

According to a book synopsis on Amazon.com, “Impeachable Offenses” is “a journalistic investigation documenting the probable causes for the impeachment of President Barack Obama.”

“In this devastating probe, New York Times bestselling authors Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott expose the high crimes, misdemeanors and other offenses that Obama has committed against the United States Constitution and the limits of his office,” the description concludes.

Stockman has been on the president’s case over a number of issues, including the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, for which the Texas Republican wants a special investigatory committee. In the release, Stockman also called for select committees with full subpoena power to investigate the Fast and Furious ‘gunwalking’ scandal, “crony deals” for green energy companies, and Obamacare, on which the House has already hammered the administration this week.

“We’ve seen how the Obama administration smears and defames their critics,” Stockman continued in the release. “Congress should investigate these scandals and turn the matters over to special prosecutors.”
