In America, people who are considered abnormal, live extravagant lifestyles, or are just plain stupid are glorified and rewarded with a reality show. So, true to form, Rachel Dolezal may be getting her own show.

As outrageous as it sounds, it seems the reality show-stars are aligning to make Dolezal’s story a hit for some opportunistic production company.

On Monday came the news of Dolezal’s resignation from her NAACP chapter, followed by a confusing Today show interview. While in New York for her Matt Lauer sit down, RadarOnline reported that Dolezal was also “fielding multiple offers to film a reality show and is seeking professional representation.”

Dolezal, the NAACP President of the Spokane, Washington, chapter, was outed last week as a white woman by her parents.  In the media flurry that followed, more details and family members came to light, revealing that Dolezal had been portraying herself as a black woman for years.

Dolezal’s story has all the made-for-TV details such as estranged parents, a brother who she called her son, and a discrimination lawsuit, that could launch her  to stardom.  Combined with the publicity and media attention that has already made her a household name, Dolezal may just be the perfect recipe for a reality show.
