Oh, my — even Bill Maher is calling President Obama a “liar” these days.
Tuesday night on “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart, Maher claimed Obama has lied about his religious affiliation. The liberal (who calls himself libertarian) TV host claimed that Obama is a “drop dead atheist.”
“Obama’s always spouting spiritual [B.S.] and I don’t believe it for a second,” Said Maher. “He’s a drop-dead atheist, absolutely.”
Maher brought up the President while he and Stewart discussed Hillary Clinton’s recent claim that her favorite book in the Bible. When Stewart asked if she was lying, Maher turned to the president as an example of a politician using religion as a political facade.
“He never went. He joined because it was politically necessary,” Maher said in reference to Obama’s church membership in Chicago.
Stewart naturally wanted to know if Obama even attended the church picnics.
“Nothing,” Maher said. “He joined because he wanted to move ahead in that political world.”
