Newly-minted Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon had a surprise guest on Tuesday night. He was expecting fellow Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig, but got One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles instead.
Wiig, wearing a wig and rocking the singer’s characteristic fashion, gave a nearly spot-on impression of Styles — minus the British accent, something that Fallon quickly pointed out.
“Your accent is different in person,” he joked. “When I met you in person, I thought you’d have more of an accent.”
“Oh,” the actress responded as the audience laughed.
The laughs only got heartier from there, as Wiig stumbled her way through the interview, pretending to be Styles the whole time. Fallon couldn’t keep a straight face, asking the fake singer how he styles his hair as Wiig fidgeted with it.
“Well, I have to use two hairdryers,” Wiig responded, holding one hand in front of her head and the other in back to demonstrate.
Lastly, Fallon asked faux Styles to sign his poster and join him in an awesomely terrible duet of ‘What Makes You Beautiful.’
