‘The First Gay Bachelor’ is the loser of his own show in spoof starring Jesse Tyler Ferguson

This reality TV spin-off turns the tables on the protagonist just a little too much.

In the lineage of ABC’s “The Bachelor” franchise, Funny or Die has imagined “The First Gay Bachelor,” starring Internet king George Takei as host and Jesse Tyler Ferguson of “Modern Family” as the bachelor. From the spoof’s get-go, Ferguson sees that the 12 contestants aren’t just battling over him.

“You guys!” Ferguson strenuously shouts at a pool party, trying to get the contestants’ attention. “You’re supposed to be competing over me — I’m the bachelor.”

“We’re all bachelors, dude,” one of the contestants replies.

The 12 continue to express more interest in each other than in Ferguson as the video progresses, leading him to a comedic, award-worthy meltdown one might expect from a four-time Emmy-nominated actor.
