Jimmy Kimmel is interested in the intersection between the marijuana industry and politics. So interested, in fact, that he sent a camera crew to a medical marijuana dispensary to see if frequent pot smokers pay enough attention to politics to make a positive impact.
“If you thought Congress didn’t do anything before, wait until the weed lobbyists get in there,” Kimmel joked. “But if the marijuana industry really want to influence the political process they need to start by helping stoners remember to vote. That would be job number one if I was in charge.”
They also might want to educate these possible voters a bit. If Kimmel’s interviews are any indication, it’s safe to say that most of that group is not paying too much attention to the political process.
