A WMAR camera crew filming the Baltimore riots Monday caught a now-viral moment between a mother and her son.
The mom had caught her son throwing rocks at the cops and she went after him.
“Get over here now!” she demanded, before disciplining him on camera.
Police Commissioner Anthony Watts praised her and said that more parents should follow her lead, according to WMAR.
“If you saw on one scene, you had one mother who grabbed her child who had a hood on his head and she started smacking him on the head because she was so embarrassed,” he said. “I wish I had more parents that took charge of their kids out there tonight.”
She was hailed as “Mom of the Year” and praised profusely on Twitter.
