Ed Schultz bashes Koch Brothers: ‘You b*****ds’

MSNBC host Ed Schultz bashed Charles and David Koch and their organization, Americans for Prosperity, on Tuesday, calling them “b*****ds” for defending an anti-Obamacare ad featuring cancer patient Julie Boonstra.

During “The Ed Show,” the host lashed out against AFP and the Koch brothers for lecturing television personalities in a statement the organization provided to Schultz about their ad, which some, including the host, believe to be centered around lies.

“Despite the claims to tv personalities or self-appointed ‘fact checkers,’ Obamacare has made Julie Boonstra’s fight with leukemia harder, not easier,” AFP’s statement to Schultz read. “Instead of trying to help Julie, powerful politicians attacked and vilified her for speaking out. Those who continue these attacks and pretend to know more about Julie’s life and circumstances than she does should be ashamed.”

“You b*****ds,” Schultz responded. “Don’t talk to me about cancer and women. Don’t do that. Thats not good.”

Schultz’s wife, Wendy, is battling ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed last year.

“Our family, my wife, has walked the walk,” he said.

The MSNBC host went on to say that AFP sought Boonstra out to further their agenda and cited The Washington Post’s fact-checker in debunking her claims.

“I’d say the claim that Obamacare is unaffordable is a flat out lie,” he said. “She’s been used.”

While Schultz admitted that her original plan had, in fact, been canceled, he said it was because it failed to meet the federal standards implemented by Obamacare and was “junk insurance.”

Schultz went on to say the nonprofit “hoodwinked” Boonstra and put her in an ad “that is an absolute lie.”
