Sarah Palin has never been one to shy away from controversy, but this time she is in full-force attack mode calling out Lena Dunham in light of the ongoing Josh Duggar scandal.
Thursday afternoon Palin posted to her Facebook, “HEY LENA, WHY NOT LAUGH OFF EVERYONE’S SEXUAL ‘EXPERIMENTS’ AS YOU HAUGHTILY ENJOY REWARDS FOR YOUR OWN PERVERSION? YOU PEDOPHILE, YOU.” She then followed it up with a lengthy argument over “the intolerant left’s destructive personal intrusions and narrow-mindedness.”
The “rewards” for which Palin is calling out Dunham for enjoying refers to the actress’ memoir in which she details sexual acts with her younger sister that she chalked up to experimenting, even going so far as to admit doing “anything a sexual predator might do.”
The former Alaska governor’s outburst is not unprecedented and appears to be in support of daughter Bristol Palin’s blog post published the same day. The Hollywood Reporter says Bristol “clamored for equal treatment of sex abusers on both the left and the right.”
Both women were clear in their purpose of comparing Dunham’s admitted sexual acts with her sibling to Josh Duggar’s teenage acts with his own sisters that recently came out via a leaked police report.
The Palin duo’s outrage is directed at what Sarah Palin calls the media’s “hell-bent mission to go after the entire Duggar family for one member’s wrongdoing, while giving a total pass to perverted actions of someone like Lena Dunham – or any other leftwinger celeb caught doing awful things,” going on to say she is “sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for any behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics.”
