This might be bigger game-show magic than “Jeopardy’s!” Arthur.
On Wednesday night’s “Wheel of Fortune,” final contestant Emil was faced with the category of “Thing” and only two letters to solve a three-word puzzle. He struck out with his guesses of “H,” “M,” “D,” and “O,” leaving him 10 seconds to piece this together:
NE _ – _ _ _ _ – _ _ _ _ _.
Yeah, not gonna happen.
Wait.
What?
A baby buggy is a large, covered carriage. It is, indeed, a “thing,” but it’s a pretty obscure “thing.” How Emil figured this out is nearly beyond comprehension; as a YouTube commenter observed, it’s pretty funny how of all people Pat Sajak was the one to give his contestant a “pat-down” to make sure he wasn’t wired.
