If you’re a good businessman running for president, you always have a back-up plan. Well, that scenario is only applicable to Donald Trump.
According to the Financial Times, Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law (i.e. Ivanka’s husband), informally approached LionTree Advisors Chief Executive Aryeh Bourkoff about setting up a Trump TV network after the presidential election.
Is it possible that Team Trump is losing the faith?
Well, according to three sources who spoke on the matter, Kushner contacted Bourkoff within the last couple of months, and was described to be a brief conversation that hasn’t progressed any further.
Trump dismissed any claims of setting up a network to the Washington Post as “a false rumor.”
However, whether or not Trump wins the election, there isn’t really a home for Trump’s populist, alt-right movement to be broadcasted.
Fox News’ coverage has been wishy-washy at best for Trump. Under an establishment Republican, FNC would be all in like they were for Mitt Romney, John McCain, and George W. Bush. Yet, with Fox News’ current cast, Trump is only getting positive coverage with a few hosts: Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and the trio at Fox & Friends.
Meanwhile, Newsmax and One America News seem to have Trump’s back, but they don’t have the following and name recognition to enter the mainstream.
Trump TV would be perfect for those viewers. And they have to name it Trump TV, otherwise no one would watch it. It will be fantastic. It will be bold. It will be…yuuuuge!
With a new network, Trump can recruit the likes of Stephen Bannon of Breitbart, who’s his campaign chief executive, Alex Jones of InfoWars, and even Sean Hannity, if he decides to turn over a new leaf.
If Trump TV becomes a real thing, it will be like this election never ended. Grab your popcorn!
