6 Republicans who broke party lines on the late-term abortion ban

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks nationwide, passed the Republican-led House of Representatives on Tuesday 228-196.

While most congressmen voted along party lines, there were a few exceptions. Twelve representatives, both Republican and Democrat, broke party lines and voted in an unexpected way on the far-reaching bill.

Here are the six Republicans who voted against approving the ban:

Rep. Paul Broun (Ga.)

 Rep. Richard Hanna (N.Y.)

 Rep. Charlie Dent (Pa.)

Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (N.J.)

 Rep. Rob Woodall (G.A.)

Rep. Jon Runyan (N.J.)

And here are the six Democrats who voted to approve the late-term abortion ban:

Rep. Nick Rahall (W.V.)

Rep. Collin Peterson (Minn.)

Rep. Henry Cuellar (Texas)

Rep. Jim Matheson (Utah)

Rep. Mike McIntyre (N.C.)

Rep. Dan Lipinski (Ill.)
