Dog bites man. Cat saves man.
A California boy was straddling a bike in his driveway Tuesday when a neighbor’s pooch snuck up and bit down on his leg. Surveillance video shows that as the dog began to drag him away — really — the boy’s feline friend, Tara, sprinted into action to chase the attacker off. To borrow a sports phrase, it looked like Tara was “shot out of cannon,” as shown in this video from TV station KERO.
The boy had to receive a few stitches from the nasty bite, but is doing fine, otherwise, his mother said.
As for Tara, the house pet, she’s the mother’s “hero.” Doubtlessly the boy’s, too.
