Rarely do we get straight forward answers from liberals about their hidden agendas, but a Lefty group was honest on Monday when asked why they had never targeted GOP Congresswomen. “Our structural bias is to start with all [Tea Party] men,” admitted Michael Kieschnick, president of CREDO, an anti-Tea Party group.
Monday marked the opening day of the Take Back the American Dream Summit in Washington D.C, a three day gathering of like-minded progressives from around the country.
In a special panel titled Defeating the Tea Party Ten: A CREDO Mobile Campaign, four progressive individuals laid out a grassroots campaign that they had developed in to unseat ten individual Congressmen in the Tea Party that they have deemed to be “ferociously anti-women.”
The Congressional Republicans on that list include: Dan Lungren-CA, Mike Fitzpatrick-PA, Joe Walsh-IL, Frank Guinta-NH, Sean Duffy-WI, Chip Cravaack-MN, Allen West-FL, and Steve King-IA.
Two spaces remain open and will be decided by online voting.
The panelists were quite candid in their criticisms of the eight House Republicans listed, with one panelist referring to Rep. Steve King-IA as a “deadbeat,” when talking about his divorce and subsequent child support payments.
But the most startling words came when a member of the audience asked about why CREDO had not focused on any women in the Tea party, referring specifically to Rep. Michele Bachmann, (R-MN).
Michael Kieschnick, a panelist and president of CREDO, admitted that they were waging a personal campaign against Tea Party men, saying, “our structural bias is to start with all men.”
Kieschnick noted that the organization is focusing on independent women, because they feel this is a year “where the House has been ferociously anti-women.”
CREDO thinks it has an advantage in focusing on men, because it enables them to portray these Tea Party Members as radical sexists.
However, their logic assumes that attacking Bachmann and other women for being members of the Tea Party is off-limits, because… it wages a war on women?
While it is hard to understand such bizarre logic, female Tea Party candidates can rest easy, knowing that the progressives are ready to attack anyone, regardless of political affiliation, who dares to question a woman’s opinion.
