Hillary Clinton has finally done it. She’s broken through that hard glass ceiling and become the first candidate of a major party to be criminally investigated by the FBI, not once, but twice. What’s even crazier is who would have thought, a Weiner would be the cause of her campaign collapse.
FBI Director James Comey dropped a bombshell last Friday which changed the landscape of the presidential race days before the majority of Americans cast their votes. He wrote a three paragraph letter to Congress which essentially said the FBI was reviewing a new batch of emails that “appear to be pertinent” to its previous investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server — and multiple federal officials have said they were found as part of an on-going probe of disgraced former New York congressman Anthony Weiner.
This caused even former Clinton White House Democratic pollster and political analyst Doug Schoen to no longer support the Democratic nominee. He said if she is elected there will be a “constitutional crisis.”
Then, on Wednesday night, more news broke that changed everything. This is no longer about politics, it’s not about who wins or loses the election because our country is truly in a crisis when a candidate of a major party could possibly be indicated while serving as president. This was explained by Fox News host Bret Baier. He said:
1-The Clinton Foundation investigation is far more expansive than anybody has reported so far and has been going on for more than a year.
2-The laptops of Clinton aides Cherryl Mills and Heather Samuelson have not been destroyed, and agents are currently combing through them. The investigation has interviewed several people twice, and plans to interview some for a third time.
3-Agents have found emails believed to have originated on Hillary Clinton’s secret server on Anthony Weiner’s laptop. They say the emails are not duplicates and could potentially be classified in nature.
4-Sources within the FBI have told Baier that an indictment is “likely” in the case of pay-for-play at the Clinton Foundation, “barring some obstruction in some way” from the Justice Department.
5-FBI sources say with 99% accuracy that Hillary Clinton’s server has been hacked by at least five foreign intelligence agencies, and that information have been taken from it.
Folks, these are explosive revelations, and as Schoen said, our country will be put into a constitutional crisis if Hillary Clinton is elected.
Baier said, “The investigation looking into possible pay-for-play interaction between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Foundation has been going on for more than a year. Led by the white collar crime division, public corruption branch of the criminal investigative division of the FBI. The Clinton Foundation investigation is a, quote, ‘very high priority.’ Agents have interviewed and re-interviewed multiple people about the Foundation case, and even before the WikiLeaks dumps, agents say they have collected a great deal of evidence. Pressed on that, one sources said, quote, ‘a lot of it,’ and ‘there is an avalanche of new information coming every day.'”
Major Democrats have publicly brushed off the investigation and called it a political witch-hunt by Comey, even though Democrats including Hilary Clinton, her running mate, and her campaign praised him many times.
I do not believe the disingenuous attempts to count these recent scandals as right-wing conspiracies will work. These latest events are troubling to me, not as a Republican, but as an American. This is no longer about winning an election. It pains me to write that we have a major candidate for president who may spend the first term of her potential administration fending off a jail sentence. This, I believe, is the straw that will break the camel’s back. Hillary has spent her 30-year political career fighting off scandals she and her husband brought onto themselves. From Whitewater, Troopergate, Travelgate, Sidney Blumenthal, Benghazi, the State Department emails, and now the Clinton Foundation and private email server that appears to be different from previous times past.
This is a career-ending saga for Clinton. America braces for more details to come out. As the end of the most disgusting election comes to an end, we can only hope that our country keeps its dignity on the world stage. God help us all.
