Nevada reporter Jon Ralston blasted Hillary Clinton on “Ralston Reports” Monday for the ridiculous demands she made in her contract with the University of Nevada-Las Vegas for the foundation dinner speech she will deliver at the university this fall.
“We don’t have kings and queens in America, or at least we shouldn’t,” Ralston began. “But when I see the red carpet UNLV is rolling out for Hillary Clinton in two months, I start to wonder. Unless you’re a mindless partisan, the details of that contract with the UNLV foundation should disturb you.”
He said the contract shows that UNLV is giving Hillary the “royal treatment” by agreeing to pay her $225,000 in addition to supplying a private plane, presidential suite, rooms for her staffers, and a stenographer and paying for all of her cellphone charges.
“They were willing to agree to terms no self-respecting institution would,” Ralston said exasperatedly.
The Nevada reporter also joked that UNLV will probably request that men and women “bow” and “curtsy” before the former secretary of State.
“I don’t know who should be more embarrassed, Hillary or UNLV,” Ralston concluded. “I only have one question: Who gets to hold her crown while she speaks?”
Amazingly, Hillary Clinton initially requested that UNLV compensate her $300,000 for the 90-minute-or-less speech, but the university apparently negotiated the price down. As we pointed out yesterday, that big wad of cash would be enough to pay 20 minimum wage salaries for a whole year.
