Americans for Prosperity targets unemployed millennials in new ad

Americans for Prosperity’s (AFP) new ad features young people sitting in a dark room, seemingly styled after an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.

“Hi my name is Dan and I’m unemployed,” says one.

“Big government is killing opportunity for young Americans. Don’t they deserve the dream?” asks the ad.

AFP launched an accompanying website, DefendTheirDream.com, which features attacks on Democratic Senators Kay Hagan (D-N.C.), Mary Landrieu (D-La.), Mark Begich (D- Alaska), Mark Udall (D-Colo.), Mark Pryor (D-Ark.), and Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa).

“Let’s end millennial unemployment,” the campaign says.

14.9 percent of American young people were unemployed in September of this year.
