During the second presidential debate, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie interjected in a back-and-forth between Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina on each others’ business records with a harsh message: the American people couldn’t care less.
“You know who’s not successful? The middle class of this country being plowed over by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama,” Christie said. “Stop playing the games,” he added.
Fiorina slammed Trump on the massive amount of debt he ran up on his casinos in Atlantic City, and asked how Americans can trust him to manage the finances of the country.
Christie made a relevant point that the average blue-collar American worker doesn’t care about the successful careers of two presidential candidates; they are more interested in their own jobs.
