A Rassmussen poll released today shows that less than half of all Americans want to see Attorney General Eric Holder resign.
The poll surveyed 1000 American’s from July 1-2, just days after the House of Representatives voted to find Eric Holder to be in contempt of Congress.
The numbers are suprising considering the way Holder has handled the investigation into the Fast and Furious scandal and attempts to prevent states from implementing necessary voter ID laws.
Numerous prominent politicians have called for Eric Holder’s resignation, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FLa.) , Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn.), and Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) .
Monday, a crowd of approximately 50 young people protested Holder’s actions outside the White House, and called for Obama to fire him.
In a recent interview with Washington Post, he claimed that the contempt vote was held because Republican’s don’t like Obama’s policies. Other Democrats have falsely claimed the contempt vote was held as retribution for Holder’s investigation into Voter ID laws.
Even with the immense amount of political pressure to remove himself from his position in the Obama administration, Eric Holder does not appear to have any plan of doing so, as public pressure from voters, who likely know little about Fast and Furious, remains low.
