Republican Congressman Steve Stockman’s Obama “failometer” has been torn down for unspecified reasons.
House officials announced Tuesday that they are tearing down the 10-foot-long billboard that stands outside the Texas Congressman’s office. Stockman had unveiled the structure only the day before.
“I am disappointed House officials ordered it torn down. No one should be offended by frank, objective economic statistics,” the Texas Congressman said in a statement.
The “failometer” was created to track how much Obama’s economic policies are failing on a scale from 1 to 1,000. As of Monday, the scale sat at 1,179, an “off-the-charts” score according to a statement from Stockman’s office.
Other House members have used easels outside their offices to share facts about the country’s debt problem, but Stockman’s display proved to be a problem supposedly because it was taped to the wall.
Now, the “failometer” is as much of a failure as Obama’s economic policies that it was supposed to measure.
The Obama Failometer is up!And it’s down.House official staff ordered it torn down after someone complained.
