Support democracy and annoy progressives: Buy Koch brothers’ products!

In their latest attempt to promote the smearing of Republican donors nationwide, progressives have begun waging an all out war against Charles and David Koch, the billionaire philanthropists who give generously to conservative and libertarian causes.

Last week at the Take Back the Dream Summit, Howard Dean encouraged all who were present to boycott Koch brothers’ products, and condemned Republicans who accepted campaign donations from them.

Similar anti-Koch initiatives have been undertaken at numerous progressive organizations, including Daily Kos and Media Matters Action.

These defamatory initiatives are nothing more than childish attempts by disgruntled progressives to portray honest and successful American citizens as bullies. In fact, Washington Democratic congressional candidate and software engineer Darcy Burner recently suggested that the next step would be to create a phone app to identify Koch products so that buyers could avoid supporting the evil capitalist brothers.

The Koch brothers support several notable political endeavors, including the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which supports voter ID laws to combat voter fraud, and Americans For Prosperity (AFP), a group that is dedicated to advancing individual economic freedom and security.
