Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos’ scheduled speech at UC-Berkeley has was abruptly cancelled on Wednesday night when a violent “antifa” mob attacked the building where the writer was set to speak.
Protestors threw Roman candles, knocked down police barricades, shot fire works at the building, hurled rocks at security, lit a tree on fire, knocked down a light post, and attacked some supporters of Yiannopoulos. A reporter from The San Francisco Gate said she had a red paintball thrown at her and explode all over her face and clothes.

Yiannopoulos posted on his Facebook page at around 9:30 pm that security forced him to flee the campus. “My team and I are safe. But the event has been cancelled. I’ll let you know more when the facts become clear. One thing we do know for sure: the Left is absolutely terrified of free speech and will do literally anything to shut it down,” the Breitbart writer wrote.
Socialist, liberals, and progressives celebrated the violent attacks and silencing Yiannopoulos, tweeting that campuses should no longer invite anyone who thinks like the Breitbart Tech editor.
Whatever you think about UC Berkeley protest, at least we can all agree: it’s a really bad, costly idea to host Milo or other neo-Nazis

Sadly, at least one of Yiannopoulos’ supporters was hurt when he was punched in the face. His injuries were broadcast online when he walked in front of the Buzzfeed livestream.
