MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, host of the “Rachel Maddow Show” proved Friday that not only can you ask her anything, she will answer almost anything.
In an “Ask Me Anything” chat on Reddit Friday, the liberal talk show host revealed some very interesting facts about herself. Here are the top five:
1. She does not think she’s especially biased
When asked about her well-known liberal bias, Maddow replied, “Not more than the average bear. I try to be open about where I’m coming from and what I believe, while also being trustworthy about the facts of what’s going on in the world.”
2. She’s a huge fan of Howard Stern
“I love Howard Stern. I was intimidated to meet him just in a fangirl kind of way. But also because I knew he would ask me questions about sex that would make me blush like a cardinal.”
3. She puts her socks on before her pants
One person asked, “When you brush your teeth, do you put your toothpaste on before or after you put water on the brush?” and “When you get dressed in the morning, do you put pants or socks on first?.”
In case you cared about Maddow’s morning routine, Maddow replied, “(1) paste then water (2) socks then pants (that’s so embarrassing).”
4. She’s never running for office
After one fan asked, “Would you ever run for public office? (I would vote for you 10-fold),” Maddow responded, “Nope! Not ever. But if you think that I would be good at it because you agree with me on policy… maybe you should run!”
5. She wants to kiss and make up with Ron and Rand Paul
“I really wish either of the Pauls would still talk with me the way they used to… They both gave up on me after my difficult interview with Paul-the-younger on the issue of the Civil Rights Act. But I hope they’ll reconsider someday.”
