Thankfully, this police chase didn’t occur on a golf course in California or Washington, D.C., or it might have disrupted President Obama’s favorite game.
Police cars tore up a large portion of a Moorhead, Minnesota golf course on Tuesday night while pursuing an individual who fled to avoid being served with outstanding drug warrants.
Kendall Feist, 33, managed to elude the law enforcement vehicles until he was apprehended at West Acres Shopping Center in Fargo, North Dakota. He was arrested on felony drug charges along with charges for fleeing police and property damage.
“I looked out the window and saw a pickup truck coming straight down the driving range,” explained Mark Rasmussen, an employee of the golf course’s pro shop. “He swerved out of the way and cut across the fairway… people running to get out of his way.”
Following the unusual chase, local police are investigating whether or not the officers followed protocol, in addition to evaluating their chase policies.
