Have you ever craved a nice, dark beer when you wake up? Well, Starbucks just might have you covered.
The popular coffee chain is currently testing its new Dark Barrel Latte, which combines chocolate and stout flavored coffee syrup, whipped cream and dark caramel sauce to create a morning drink that tastes just like a dark brew without the alcohol.
According to Musictimes.com, the coffee drink is available at stores in Columbus, Ohio, as well as some in Florida. And, according to BuzzFeed’s Ryan Kincaid who sampled the beverage in Columbus, it tastes “remarkably like stout.”
As Daily Mail reports, the stores offering the drink ask customers to fill out a survey to review the product. These select stores also offer a packet of information about the beverage.
“Inspired by the rise of craft beers, Dark Barrel brings together savory toasty malt and chocolaty tastes topped with sweet dark caramel drizzle. This sophisticated combination offers a delicious complexity that build with every sip,” reads the description.
Twitter users appear to be excited by the prospect of waking up with a taste of Guinness.

@Starbucks, any idea on when the Dark Barrel Latte will get to NYC? This Guinness drinker would love to taste-test one. 🙂

Though there’s no indication as to when or if the beer-flavored beverage will hit Starbucks stores nationwide, the brand will likely think about it if individuals sampling the drink in Ohio and Florida respond favorably.
