George W. Bush can’t even pay liberals to like or show respect to him.
After a meal out, the former president left a generous $40 tip on a $21.47 bill, and posed for a picture with the waitress.
Mic interviewed the waitress named Leisa, who said the former president was “the sweetest person [she] ever met,” referring to everyone in the restaurant as “baby.” However, that didn’t stop the Leisa from making him the butt of her joke on Twitter.
“Bush did 9/11 but he did me a solid and left me a hella tip.”
The tweet and claim that Bush was responsible for the terrorist attacks quickly went viral.
Leisa told Mic that she was just referencing the “George Bush did 9/11” memes.
“I have a couple of friends that use the meme a lot, and they were the only ones I was expecting to see the tweet,” the waitress said. “I was just trying to get a laugh out of my friends but I in no way actually believe the conspiracy.”
While she may have been kidding, Leisa’s Twitter account shows she is big supporter of socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
