Hillary’s book is being absolutely trashed on Amazon.com

The real Internet, which is a habitat for ungrammatical partisan comments and trolling, is unfolding right now on Amazon.com, undisturbed, like nature in the act. There is a herd of elephants stomping on Hillary Clinton’s memoir “Hard Choices,” a pace of donkeys kicking back, and a cackle of hyenas laughing at the whole thing. It’s an Animal Planet special. (Ed: This previously said “Animal Channel.” Wouldn’t want to insinuate that Animal Planet would actually stoop so low as to produce a special about ungrammatical partisan comments and trolling, but because Animal Planet’s slogan is, indeed, “Surprisingly Human,” we can get away with this.)

The review summaries are relentless enough. “Pure Crap from an egomaniacal opportunist,” “Should be under fiction,” “Vomit, vomit. Pure vomit.” But then comes the content.

“It is a typical book cover, pages and page numbers. Only this one will have special value at next Christmas[‘] White Elephant gift exchange,” one review reads.

“The book is a newsless snore, written so carefully not to offend that it will fuel the notion that politics infuses every part of her life,” goes another, which not-so-coincidentally is exactly what POLITICO’s Mike Allen wrote in a space much more reputable than an Amazon.com comment section.

The term “election propaganda” is used on multiple occasions.

“BENGHAZI,” indeed in all caps, also appears, as well as the frank sentence, “Just here to troll.”

As of early afternoon Tuesday, the average review was 2 stars out of 5. It crawled to 2.5 as of the 5 o’clock hour, no doubt buoyed by a rush of five-star reviews that read something like, “I am sure I will like it when I read it,” “I have only read 1/3, but WOW!” and “Ohmigosh! Finally a 67th book for the Holy Scriptures.”
