[WATCH] Rahm Emanuel dances to the song of the summer, ‘Blurred Lines’

Being passed around the internet this Friday morning is a video from last week’s Taste of Chicago, showing the city’s mayor, Rahm Emanuel, busting a groove to the Robin Thicke tune, “Blurred Lines.”

Emanuel–who was in D.C. earlier this week to talk immigration with Grover Norquist–rolls and bounces his hips, pulls off his tie, and continues to dip, as the woman standing in front of him really gets into it.

Not surprisingly, the media has chimed in.

“In fairness, Emanuel appears to have been lured into dancing by the enthusiastic woman in front of him,” wrote the Atlantic Wire’s Elspeth Reeve. “Many modern males feel compelled to dance when females nearby begin to dance, and perhaps Emanuel instinctively, even subconsciously, started his moves once he was in close proximity to such a display.”

Others weren’t positive it was definitely Emanuel. “Only reason we’re the least bit skeptical is, well, didn’t you always imagine Mayor Emanuel as a slightly better dancer?” argued the Washington Post.

But, if you look closely, you can see the mayor’s identifying mark–his partially missing right middle finger–when he quickly shoves his tie into his pocket and resumes dancing.
