Chris Christie really doesn’t want people putting words in Bruce Springsteen’s mouth

Chris Christie saw The Boss just a week ago, and there’s no beef about the guv using his tunes, thank you very much.

Christie defended his use of Bruce Springsteen’s music at public events Tuesday in response to a difficult town hall participant who was “under the impression” The Boss disapproved because of the New Jersey governor’s politics.

“Listen, I know him. I know him, and you’re wrong,” Christie said. “And I understand you’re now expressing your politics. You’re now expressing your politics and your objection, and that’s fine. Don’t put it in Mr. Springsteen’s mouth. Put it in yours. Because I know Bruce and I’ve spoken to Bruce, and you’re wrong. You’re absolutely wrong.”

So there, dang it.

The heckler, a woman named Sandra Booket, reportedly stood with a sign that read “Indict” throughout the duration of the town hall.

So obstinate was Booket that a CBS morning show panelist said “she sounded like a reporter.”
