Sterling attempts to redeem his reputation on ‘SNL’

This week’s Saturday Night Live cold open featured a press conference with Clippers owner Donald Sterling attempting to redeem his reputation — and it went about as well as you’d expect.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, played by Taran Killam, expressed his gratitude that Sterling, played by Bobby Moynihan, was finally been convinced to give up his position as team owner.

“We in the NBA have been working with Mr. Sterling to give up this team, and today I am pleased to announced we’ve made a breakthrough,” faux Silver announced.

Even though he is selling the team, Sterling still wasn’t very apologetic for his comments. In fact, he claimed that he is the real victim.

“My reputation has gotten a real black eye, which we all know is the worst kind of eye,” Moynihan said.

The fake Sterling promised to use every penny of his $1 billion profit from selling the Clippers to repair his relationship with the black community. He announced that he’s going to do his own version of the Million Man March: Donald Sterling’s Million Man Cruise, which will bring black people to Africa and leave them there.

In an attempt to prove that he has some backing in the black community, Sterling also introduced his new three-quarter black mistress — who admitted to using him for his money — Dennis Rodman — who is a great judge of character, as proven by his relationship with bestie Kim Jong-Un — and the outgoing Los Angeles NAACP chapter president Leon Jenkins — who lamely tried to explain why the organization was still giving Sterling an award after taking his generous donation.

“Look — come on — ” Kenan Thompson, who played Jenkins, explained. “It’s $10 million.”
