Savannah State University, known to lean a little more right than left on its teachings, has began a course called “The Trump Factor in American Politics.”
The discussion-structured course is an intensive 5-week class with Donald Trump at the center of the conversation. And if the nation thought he was already in the spotlight enough to begin with, now, he has an entire college course based upon him.
Professor Robert Smith spearheads the course, with a fresh and present-day perspective focused on the ideologies of Donald Trump, himself.
“Studying Donald Trump is a phenomena right now in terms of the businessman turned entertainer, now turned politician. It’s really something exciting and represents something different in American politics,” observed Smith.
It deems Smith has the right idea. Why not structure an entire college course around the man that has, all on his own, become the talk of the town in both the political and entertainment realms in the past year.
“This class is not a pro-Trump class. It’s not an anti-Trump class. It’s an opportunity to kind of understand what Donald Trump represents and using political science as a bit of a lens,” Smith explained to Shelbey Roberts of Fox 11 News.
With the addition of this unique course, Smith may be paving the way for college’s around the country. One could suppose Smith played his ‘Trump card’ at just the right time.
