When it comes to producing honest and transparent elections, the citizens of Florida are overwhelmingly in favor.
A Quinnipiac University poll released on Tuesday indicated that the citizens of Florida strongly favor efforts to purge ineligible voters from the state’s voter polls by a majority margin of 60 to 35 percent.
Interestingly enough, while Florida citizens have strong support for ineligible voter purges, a majority do not support the man responsible for implementing them, current Governor. Rick Scott (R).
Polls show that while most Floridians support the voter purge, a majority also disprove of the current governor’s policies by a ratio of 49 to 37 percent.
This data indicates that while Rick Scott may have experienced a drop in his approval rating, it does not appear to have resulted from his efforts to purge the poll records of noncitizen voters.
In response to several recent cases of voter fraud, Gov. Scott has initiated efforts to remove illegal immigrants from voting polls, in order to prevent dilution of Florida’s vote.
