New ‘Rock The Vote’ video features Lil Jon wielding giant joint, Lena Dunham dancing pant-less

“Rock The Vote” has released a new advertisement starring rapper and Obama enthusiast Lil Jon singing a parody of his hit song “Turn Down for What” to encourage young voters to “turn out” at the voting booth for the issues they care about.

The video, entitled “Turn Out for What,” features several celebrities touting mostly liberal issues as reasons for which they will turn out to vote during the upcoming midterm elections.

Predictably, actress and writer Lena Dunham shows up in the advertisement dancing around with no pants on and proclaiming that she will vote in the name of “reproductive rights.”

Lil Jon demonstrates his support of marijuana legalization by swinging a giant joint around as he raps the song.

“The work that Rock The Vote does is incredible,” explained Lil Jon in a statement. “It’s cool for me to collab with such an iconic organization.”

According to the Daily Beast, “Rock The Vote” spokeswoman Audrey Gelman said that the rapper “took zero convincing” to star in the ad. She also described the idea for the video as “a PSA that wouldn’t make people hit the snooze button.”

Other celebrities that make cameos include Whoopi Goldberg, Natasha Lyonne, Fred Armisen, Gabriel Valenciano, E.J. Johnson, Darren Criss, Sophia Bush, Ireland Baldwin, Devendra Banhart, Tracy Anderson, Ioanna Gika, and even E! News host Ben Lyons who plays a DJ wearing grillz.
