Texas gun shop: ‘I like my guns like Obama likes his voters …’

This Texas firearms shop wears its politics on its yard sign.

Tactical Firearms in Katy has developed a tradition of posting a loud phrase to its marquee outside the store each Wednesday. One such statement has had the locals talking, ABC affiliate KTRK in Houston reported — and this one’s not just about gun rights.

The store’s owner, Jeremy Alcede, said in a statement to KTRK that the sign is intended to elicit some laughs.

“Thank God for our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. It’s meant as a joke. It’s meant to be funny,” Alcede said.

Alcede said the sign’s message is a nod to Texas’ gun policy that does not require the registration of firearms, radio station KTRH added.

Tactical Firearms hosted a debate last year among rocker Teg Nugent, Texas state politicians, and Red Alert Politics favorite Piers Morgan.

A video report from KTRK is below.
