MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell sought to deflect Democratic operative Hilary Rosen’s comments that Ann Romney didn’t know anything about economics because she had “never worked a day in her life” Thursday.

The longtime NBC anchor sought to diminish Rosen’s comments suggesting her connection with the Obama campaign’s views as were the Romney aide who famously compared his campaign’s views to an “Etch-a-Sketch” .
“Yes, she’s a prominent Democratic woman, but she doesn’t work for the campaign. She does not work for the White House,” Mitchell said. “David Axelrod and Jim Messina immediately Tweeted out that they disagreed entirely.
“Michelle Obama has Tweeted that she disagrees, and she’s a stay-at-home Mom.”
Mitchell then argued that it would be hard to make this stick against President Obama’s re-election effort.
