A “Fox & Friends First” anchor mistakenly referred to the UConn Huskies as the 2014 National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Men’s Basketball Champions this morning.
The anchor, Heather Childers, came out the other side of game highlights emphatically stating, “NCAA champs, the Huskies celebrating as they take down the Kentucky Wildcats.”
Childers noted her subtle on-air correction and granted that the flub would be late-night comedy fodder, via Twitter:

UConn’s victory marks its second title in four years, coincidentally against the two best basketball programs in America, the Butler University Bulldogs and Kentucky.
