Nancy Pelosi set to appear on Fallon this Friday

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is set to make an appearance on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” the top Democrat’s first appearance on the popular comedy program.

According to NBC, Pelosi will discuss her 25th anniversary in Congress, along with the upcoming presidential and congressional elections.

Pelosi is a veteran of the late-night comedy circuit, having appeared most recently on “The Colbert Report” in February. During that appearance, Pelosi advocated for the DISCLOSE Act that would have increased transparency for election spending. That’s despite the Democratic leader having formerly warned her caucus not to appear on the program.

“This is part of my Lent resolution — to do good works, be kind to Republicans,” Pelosi explained, referencing Colbert’s faux conservative persona. “So here I am.”
