One college graduate has turned his student loan repayment into a rap career.
Dee-1, a rapper from New Orleans, got a record deal that helped him pay off his student loans, according to Time.
His first hit became “Sallie Mae Back,” a four-minute celebration that he doesn’t have the student loan behemoth towering over his future.
The video shows Dee-1 running around town, in euphoric disbelief that he isn’t one of the millions of students with monthly payments to worry him. And that, indeed, is something to celebrate.
