Whose lipstick is on POTUS’ shirt? Not Michelle’s, Obama says

One woman made her mark on President Barack Obama Tuesday night – and it wasn’t Michelle Obama.

During an Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month celebration at the White House, “American Idol” runner up Jessica Sanchez’s aunt accidentally left a lipstick stain on Obama’s collar after giving the President a peck on the neck.

POTUS quickly identified the woman behind the lipstick mark before guests could draw the wrong conclusions.

“I want to thank everybody who’s here — the incredible warmth of the reception,” Obama said during his opening remarks. “A sign of the warmth is the lipstick on my collar. I have to say I think I know the culprit — where is Jessica Sanchez? ” Obama said, calling out for 17-year-old singer.

“It wasn’t Jessica,” Obama clarified. “It was her aunt. Where is she?”

“Auntie, right there. Look at this,” he said pointing to his collar. “Look at this. I just want everybody to witness. So I do not want to be in trouble with Michelle. That’s why I’m calling you out right in front of everybody.”

After embarrassing the woman for leaving lipstick on his shirt, Obama transitioned to the point of the event— honoring Asian American and Pacific Islanders.

“In every election, at every board meeting, in every town across America, we see more and more different faces of leadership, setting an example for every young kid who sees a leader who looks like him or her,” he said. “And that’s a good thing.”
