It’s common knowledge that Trump rallies can get pretty hectic. Those heckling or trying to cause a disruption have been unceremoniously kicked out, with Trump himself sometimes encouraging violence.
But now press conferences may even be turning crazy or even dangerous for members of the press who are doing their jobs. Jamie Weinstein, senior editor of the Daily Caller, sent out a Tweet Tuesday night that Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s campaign manager, tried to pull his girlfriend — Breitbart reporter and Fox News contributor Michelle Fields (who is on Red Alert’s 30-under-30 list for 2012) — to the ground for asking a tough question.

Subsequent replies reveal it happened after the press conference, with Lewandowski pulling hard on Fields’ arm. While there wasn’t video, Weinstein says other reports saw it.
Politico’s reporting also mentioned a witness:
Fields was attempting to ask Trump a question as he exited the press conference. Secret Service was starting to clear a path, when Fields was forcibly grabbed on her arm by Lewandowski, moving her out of the way and nearly bringing her down to the ground, a source who witnessed the situation told POLITICO.
Fields was clearly roughed up by the move, the witness said.
This is not the only time Trump rallies and press conferences have seen incidents with the press.
If Donald Trump behaves this way during primaries imagine how his admin would treat the press. RIP 1st Amendment.
