Students headed to these 20 schools this fall might want to make sure to pack their National Rifle Association membership cards, as according to The Princeton Review these are among the most conservative universities in the nation.
College students were asked to assess their own political leanings in an 80-question voluntary online about college life and academics conducted by the college standardized test preparation and admissions consulting company. From there, the company compiled a list of the top 20 most conservative student bodies based on the self-reported answers.
“In any of these rankings lists, it’s based only on student opinions of their own experiences at their own universities,” Rob Franek, lead author of The Princeton Review’s “The Best 378 Colleges: 2014 Edition,” told Red Alert Politics.
