It appears Hillary Clinton’s presence in Brooklyn, New York, is somewhat of a farce.
According to a recent report in Politico, the Democratic presidential candidate has been working out of midtown Manhattan when in the state despite the fact that in April she signed a lease for her campaign headquarters at 1 Pierrepont Plaza in Brooklyn.
In addition to working exclusively out of the more upscale location in the Big Apple, Clinton also holds senior staff meetings for her campaign there, not in the more sensible NYC borough.
From Politico:
That space is now occupied by Clinton’s campaign; 10 to 15 campaign staffers and interns work there regularly, and meetings take place there. Senior staffers also use the office out of convenience, if they need a place to work in Manhattan between appointments around town.
The rent bill for the midtown office space likely falls somewhere around $25,000 per month, an expense that the campaign is allegedly paying.
Though the majority of her campaign staffers still work at the Brooklyn headquarters, this report nevertheless puts quite the dent in Hillary’s effort to attach herself to the hip area.
The Clinton campaign unveiled a video in May on Facebook that demonstrates how residents of Brooklyn feel about their “new neighbor” Hillary. The presidential candidate is recorded strolling about Brooklyn receiving a warm (and likely staged) welcome from supporters.
Clinton has also demonstrated her alleged enthusiasm for Brooklyn on Twitter.

So much for authenticity. No wonder Americans don’t trust her.
