Kim Jong Un won’t have a birthday party with Dennis Rodman this year

Kim Jong Un is probably ugly crying like a snotty teenager who didn’t get her way on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16.

The North Korean leader reportedly turned 32 years old Thursday, according to the New York Post, yet unlike last year, nobody is singing “Happy Birthday” to Kim in a crowded basketball stadium.

There have been neither reports of a birthday celebration nor any public announcement in the country about Kim’s special day, though China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman did say Thursday that his country had “expressed congratulations” to North Korea on the birthday.

Last year, Kim’s birthday was a much bigger deal. NBA star Dennis Rodman sang “Happy Birthday” to the North Korean leader — who he has openly acknowledged as his friend — in the country’s Pyongyang Indoor Stadium during a basketball exhibition.

Unsurprisingly, following the controversy surrounding “The Interview,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said she has no wish for the birthday boy.

Perhaps Kim decided that a birthday with gout would be without cake, and that a birthday without cake would be no celebration at all.
