Fox News’ Jesse Watters breached the “no media safe zone” established by protestors at the University of Missouri to interview students about the movement and the list of demands released by the activist group Concerned Student 1950.
One of the demands called for the removal of Tim Wolfe as UM system president, which was met when Wolfe resigned early last week.
“You got rid of the president, what’s next?” Watters asked one of the student protestors.
“Get justice for Mike Brown. Get justice for Trayvon Martin. We gotta fight back,” the student responded.
Other students were less clear on what they are actually demanding. The list says Wolfe should apologize to students and “acknowledge his white male privilege.” Other demands include enforcing a “comprehensive racial awareness and inclusion curriculum,” increasing the percentage of black faculty and staff on campus, and “increased retention rates for marginalized students.”
Watters interviewed a white female student who claimed she is marginalized at the university for being a woman and identifying as bisexual.
The student protestors aren’t very fond of the media in general and have attempted to keep reporters out of their “safe zones” on campus.
