Yahoo! News on Thursday released their interview with Donald Trump. A wide range of topics were covered — from serious to silly –which included a word association game. Trump thinks Taylor Swift is “terrific,” in case you were really wondering.
Trump shared his thoughts on student protests occurring across college campuses, mentioning, regarding the University of Missouri, “watch[ing] these two men grovel and resign like babies.” He asked “whoever paid them in the first place?”
While Trump is not merely political incorrect when it comes to college campuses, he did use the discussion to offer why he’s appealing and polling so well. As Yahoo! aptly mentions, “Trump has no patience for this trend” of “safe spaces” and “trigger warnings.”
Trump himself mentioned:
Additionally, Trump referred to those who resigned as “weak and ineffective people” and thinks “they sent the absolutely wrong signal when they resigned so sheepishly.” Trump also believes that “wrong signal” will have consequences, with more student uprisings:
Campus protests across the country have used Missouri as their motivation.
There’s more than just the name-calling from Trump, however. While he doesn’t believe there was racism on the campus, he still would lead in such a way to stand up to the demands of the protests and discrimination.
Trump did emphasize that while not all the demands of the students were “crazy,” many of them were.
