Walker gives tentative support to Trump’s immigration plan

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has finally earned the praise of one of his presidential rivals.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker commended the real estate mogul’s new immigration plan Monday, comparing it to policies he has backed as governor.

“It’s similar to what I brought up about four or five months ago,” Walker said in an interview with Fox and Friends.

While he didn’t go as far as it giving it an outright endorsement when asked by host Steve Doocy if he would give it a “thumbs up,” Walker compared it to a plan he outlined in a March interview on Fox News Sunday which emphasized border security and reducing legal immigration.

“I haven’t looked at all the details of his, but the things I’ve heard are very similar to the things I mentioned to Chris Wallace on the show earlier this year,” Walker said.
