Kanye West introduces the $120 Plain White T-shirt

After Parisian clothing brand, A.P.C., debuted its Kanye West clothing line this weekend, they received a frenzy of orders from buyers who wanted to wear clothing similar to the hip-hop artist’s. But there was one piece in particular that caught everyone’s attention, likely due to its obvious uniqueness and eye-catching allure — a $120 plain white T-shirt.

At face value, it may seem like A.P.C.’s Hip Hop T-shirt is like every other T-shirt, and you’re pretty much right.

It should be noted, though, that this particular T-shirt is “very loose” and made out of “Egyptian cotton.” Not to mention, it has a “reinforced neckline” with a silkscreened A.P.C. Kanye logo, which truly makes this plain T-shirt such a unique piece.

And in case plain white is not fun enough for you, A.P.C. has you covered. The Hip Hop T-shirt also comes in navy.

The Parisian clothing retailer collaborated with the hip-hop artist to create its newest line, which includes incredibly normal looking jeans, T-shirts and sweatshirts, for extraordinary prices.

That evidently didn’t deter people, though, as People reports, “the nine-piece capsule collection (which A.P.C. designer Jean Touitou said was two years in the making) crashed the site and sold out promptly, though A.P.C. is still taking pre-orders for the next shipment until Wednesday at 1 p.m.”

The clothing brand is an interesting move for the hip-hop artist, as his recent release “New Slaves” was critical of consumerism and materialism.
